Tablet Holder Edge of Table

18 Dec

If you are running out of space of where to place your tablet or would like to place your tablet in a convenient area, this hanger for your tablet might help you. Making a tablet holder that you can hang on the edge of the table just requires few materials.

Materials needed are as follows:

  1. Metal door hangar from Daiso
  2. Pliers or vise grips. Some kind of tool to bend this thin metal rod

The tricky part when making this tablet holder may be just the bending. For some this may be a breeze, but for others it may be a bit tricky. It is a straight forward process, however. I used a table vise grip to make the bends. I do believe that you can bend the part by other means. For example, maybe a set of vise grip pliers can do the trick. Once you have the correct bends of the metal, I would say it is stable and strong enough to hold your tablet securely at the edge of a table. In addition, I just eyeballed all of the bends and did not use any specific measurements.

This is a picture of bending the hanger

The picture below is bending the clamp smaller so that the hanger can grab the table securely.

I will be using some pliers to bend the tip so that the clamp can be flat on the table.

The two hangers will hang side by side at the edge of the table to hold the tablet. The hangers that I bought from Daiso already have rubber pads on the insides of the clamp. This can help prevent any scratches on any table.
