Replacing LCD Screen On Dell Inspiron 7710 All-in-One

Before You Begin: Before starting the replacement process, ensure you have the following tools ready:

  1. Small Phillips-head screwdriver
  2. Plastic opening tool or spudger
  3. Microfiber cloth or lint-free cloth
  4. Replacement LCD screen (compatible with Dell Inspiron 7710)

Prepare the Workspace Start by finding a clean, well-lit workspace where you can comfortably work on your Dell Inspiron 7710 All-in-One computer. Make sure to power off the computer and unplug it from the wall outlet.

Remove the Rear Cover Using the Phillips-head screwdriver, carefully remove the screws securing the rear cover of the computer. Once all screws are removed, slide the rear cover away from the computer, and set it aside. Be cautious not to force it open as it may have clips or connectors that need to be detached. When removing the back panel, try starting at the top of the computer and work your way toward the bottom.

Once the rear cover is removed, the screws that hold the LCD, motherboard, camera, and shield all have to be removed.

There are 17 screws in total that hold the LCD and Four screws behind the motherboard. There are 13 screws around the LCD, and there is one screw behind the camera. The screws that are holding the LCD should be labled LCD near the screw.

The motherboard has to be removed to reveal 4 screws underneath it. There are screws located around the border of computer and a screw behind the camera. The screws will be have a label named LCD.

The panel near the bottom does not need to be entirely removed. The panel can be moved out of the way, so that there is space to unscrew the remaining screws.

Install the Replacement LCD Screen Take your replacement LCD screen and connect any necessary cables and connectors. Carefully place the new screen into the allotted space, aligning it properly. Secure the screen in place by tightening the screws you previously removed.

Reassemble the Bezel and Connect Cables Attach the bezel back onto the computer, making sure it fits snugly. Reconnect the cables and connectors, ensuring they are firmly seated and properly aligned.

Reattach the Rear Cover and Stand Slide the rear cover back into position and secure it with the screws you previously removed. Finally, reattach the stand by aligning it with the mount and sliding the release latch to the lock position.
